Michele graduated from the Midwifery Education Program at McMaster University in 2018. After completing her training, she practiced in the Elora and Fergus area, providing care across several rural communities. During this time, she supported many out-of-hospital births and developed a deep appreciation for community-based midwifery.
As a mother who experienced a home birth herself, Michele brings both professional skill and personal understanding to her work. She is delighted to return to her hometown in the Hamilton area—where she grew up on the outskirts of the city beside a farm—and to rejoin The Hamilton Midwives, the practice where she completed her final senior year of training. Before pursuing midwifery, Michele earned an Honours Bachelor of Science in Health Studies from the University of Waterloo. Michele is passionate about helping clients feel safe, respected, and empowered throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. She is especially comfortable providing care in out-of-hospital settings and is a strong advocate for equity within the healthcare system. Michele believes that true health is shaped not only by medical care, but also by our social environments and mental well-being. She is known for her thorough, thoughtful approach and strives to ensure that each client feels confident in their choices and supported every step of the way. Outside of midwifery, Michele enjoys spending time outdoors—whether gardening or exploring the Bruce Trail with her son. |
