Muneera is a graduate of McMaster University's Midwifery Education Program (Class of 2023). She has been working with The Hamilton Midwives since her senior year placement. 


Before becoming a midwife in Canada, Muneera graduated from Baghdad University in 1998, and worked as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. She practiced abroad as a physician until 2018, including many years in Saudi Arabia. After immigrating to Canada, she completed the Research Associate Program at McMaster University before returning to hands-on care - her true passion.


Muneera is deeply committed to supporting families through pregnancy and birth with compassion, respect, and evidence-based care. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time on her farm with her animals, painting, and giving back to the community.
