I have nothing but great things to say about the Hamilton Midwives. I was referred to them by a friend so I knew I would get fantastic care before I even called. I had Alison and Daniella for my team and they were both amazing. They were always available by phone if I had any question night or day. I was very nervous as this was my first pregnancy and I felt completely prepared and supported leading up to and during my labor/birth. I also had great support from Alison during my missed miscarriage before my full term pregnancy. I’m forever thankful for them during this wonderful experience, and if I decide to have another in the future, I know who to call!

Great experience overall for first pregnancy. Didn’t know what to expect going in but felt prepared and in the hands of experts the entire time. I had Kim and Catherine for all of my check up appointments (very professional and helpful) and I had Susie for delivery which went way better than I could have imagined. Will definitely return if we decide to have a second baby and have recommended to friends. :)

My experience at Hamilton Midwives was exceptional. After being in transient care for the first two months, moving cities and being transferred to multiple nurses and doctors I eventually ended up at Hamilton Midwives.
Alison was my primary support and she was nothing short of exceptional. She displays care and competence to the highest degree. Mary, was also incredible, knowledgeable and calm offering wonderful support. Additional supports including Susie, Daniella and Sophia were thorough and really great; their postpartum care so comforting.
I had three specialist appointments and was extremely sick through out my pregnancy. They sourced additional expertise working with doctors cooperatively to find the best support for me and my baby and they held a plethora of expertise themselves.
I’ll forever be grateful for these incredible midwives.

I really loved my experience with the Hamilton Midwives. My team was Kim and Meghan. They were both incredibly responsive and made me feel so comfortable about my journey. I had a clear vision of what I wanted my birthing experience to be like and even when I had to pivot, I still felt very heard and my choices where respected. My husband is very involved and when he couldnt be at the appointments I felt like the team went out of their way to make sure he was included as much as possible. Our birth was a wonderful experience and all of the postpartum care was invaluable. It was such an amazing resource to have calls and visits through my son’s first few weeks of life. I felt like I always had an expert in my corner to consult with (which helped me avoid Dr Google). I know I started my motherhood journey more confident and reassured with my midwife team.

I often think back to the team of amazing midwives that cared for my daughter and I almost 3 years ago! My midwife team were Kim, Daniella and Susie. Oh my goodness. Such amazing care and love from all of them. I had quite a bit of anxiety with it being my first pregnancy and Kim constantly guided me and reassured me without making me feel silly.

I was recommended to Hamilton Midwives by a friend and with this being my first pregnancy, I was scared and had lots of questions to which my team of midwives answered very eagerly. The first consultation was amazing as they explained the process so clearly because I had a hard time getting a hold of my family doctor for help; it was a breath of fresh air knowing these incredible ladies would be available to help me at anytime. Despite the COVID rules, Hamilton Midwives provided excellent care and helped make the experience wonderful. Susie and Michelle were my midwives and it saddens me that our time is over! From beginning to end they answered all my questions, gave me helpful advice for even my most ridiculous questions, made me feel so cared for and prepared for motherhood. When I began having my first contractions I think I called Susie 3 or 4 times throughout the day and she gave me tips to help cool them down and eventually she came to my house for a checkup which led me to head to the hospital as baby was near. She stayed with my husband and I at the hospital and made me feel ready for the exciting times ahead. Since I was in labour for some time she had to end her shift as she was with me for over 12 hours! Michelle tagged in and was with me through the birth of my beautiful son. A few days after my son was born Susie came in for our first checkup and answered probably a million questions I threw at her with ease. Sadly, yesterday was my last postpartum appointment and Michelle checked us both and answered the last of my questions and gave me some advice going forward. If Covid wasn’t a thing I would have loved to hug both of them to thank them for the incredible care they provided to my family. Thank you ladies for the incredible experience and I would recommend you to anyone! See you hopefully for my next baby!!

We loved our experience with Allison and Chelsea at the Hamilton Midwives.
We felt well-cared for and listened-to through the whole pregnancy and birth. We were able to go home from the hospital on the same day and appreciated the at-home visits in the first couple weeks. Would definitely recommend especially for first-time moms!

I recently moved to Hamilton from Toronto while 37 weeks pregnant. It was difficult to acquire a midwife this late in my pregnancy but I decided to registered myself at a hospital closest to me and that's where I met Susie. She was very kind and took me under her wings by registering me at Hamilton Midwives even though they were not taking anymore patients so close to delivery as there were no space.
The team was amazing, and they all worked together and cover each other patients. To make a long story short, Susie was unable to deliver my baby as she working the night before delivering another baby but then came Megan and Stephanie who delivered my 10Lbs 11oz baby. They were amazing and guide me through the delivery.
The Hamilton Midwives are simply the best, they work as a team and it doesn't matter who you get as a midwife because they are all great, experienced and wonderful people.
P.S- They offer postpartum services as well which helped me after delivery.

Had a great experience with Hamilton Midwives. I had a unique circumstance with my pregnancy and had joint support from my midwife and an OB. Even though she wasn't my primary care giver, felt very supported and cared for. They took over care after baby was born and that's where I really got to benefit. My primary Midwife Susie and the others on the team made sure my post partum period was smooth and that baby and I had everything we needed to recover.

I had a wonderful experience with my team of midwives. My birth did not go as planned, and Sophie was such a calming presence in a time of high stress. Sophie walked me through how each step of my birth would go so I went in prepared with no surprises. Post partum I had some difficulties and again Sophie was very thorough in making sure I was fully supported and spent a lot of time with me making sure I had everything I needed. I also had the pleasure of meeting Michelle and Mary during my pregnancy and post partum as well. The midwife team and all that they offer with home visits post partum and care before, during and after birth is amazing. I would highly recommend the midwives, and I will have no hesitations choosing them for future pregnancies.

Amazing Experience as an overly curious husband/father.
My wife had been a strong advocate for midwifery as her primary care provider during the pregnancy/birth/post-delivery process. I didn't know much about midwifery until then but took her lead as motherhood was something she had researched extensively.
I was blown away by the level of one on one care throughout the process as well as the warm bedside manner and intimate knowledge of our situation the midwives had. Additionally - as someone who is more inclined to ask questions, express curiosity, and understand the process - the midwives were patient with answering all my questions and truly allowed me to feel a part of the team in all of the visits I attended. I learned so much about the process (which also allowed me to appreciate even more the role mothers play) and would recommend midwives to all parents who are able to use one.
We used the Hamilton Midwives for all 3 of our births with some repeat midwives who we got to know very well and vice versa and we wouldn't have had the experience any other way.
We also had our second child at home (a planned home birth) which was a unique but amazing experience. Candidly not one I would have ever thought about if not for my wife but the midwives were very experienced in this area and it was both unique but also very memorable (in a positive way). Would definitely recommend asking/learning more about it as well.
To all the non-delivery parents/partners - The Hamilton Midwives will make you feel welcome into the process so I encourage you to come along to the meetings and ask questions where possible. You won't regret it.

I chose the hamilton midwives 4 years ago when I was pregnant with my first daughter (recommended by a good friend). I was very pleased from the start with their thorough care and sincerity. Through pregnancy, guidance of a smooth birth, and post natal care I was extremely happy. At the end of my care, I was extremely sad to say goodbye. Fast forward 4 years, I became pregnant again with my second daughter. I instantly called the hamilton midwives and they were able to book my 2nd midwife that I had in the first pregnancy as my primary midwife this pregnancy. Although, all three midwives I had for my care were wonderful. I wouldn’t choose another route during pregnancy and as my time with them is about to come to another end, I am sad to say goodbye. It’s always such a relief knowing they’re only a page away and become one of your biggest supporters through each stage of having a child. 10/10 recommend hamilton midwives.

I’ve never been in the care of a midwife with my previous pregnancies and was recommended by family to go through a midwife for my last pregnancy. This experience has been nothing short of amazing. Even through COVID, the 3 midwives I’ve dealt with consistently have been so helpful, responsive and caring. Chelsea, Daniella and Sophia are highly recommended. I highly recommend the services of the Hamilton Midwives for your midwifery care. I felt I was given so much attention and was being properly cared for. I was pregnant with my first child at the beginning of the pandemic and was quite nervous. I really didn't know what to expect in terms of the pregnancy or midwifery care and I was overly happy with the care and attention I recieved. My main midwife, Sofia, and my backup, Susan, were both extremely educated and patient with me. Sofia was available to answer (and encouraged me to ask) any questions that came to me and was very helpful throughout my pregnancy. They also have very kind and professional office staff.

I have had 2 babies at Hamilton Midwives and have been very happy with the experiences. I highly recommend Susie Martin to be your midwife. She is beyond excellent and you can tell that she loves what she does, she is very knowledgable, cares about baby and mother, and is so passionate about midwifery. I knew we were in good hands but with Susie it was so much more, she was someone you felt you could trust. The midwives at this location are all incredible.

I worked with the Hamilton Midwives through two pregnancies - in 2017/2018, and in 2019/2020 (through the COVID-19 pandemic). I had exceptional care in both pregnancies. I felt so supported, and like my midwives were family. I worked with Masoudeh in both pregnancies, and Kim as secondary in my second pregnancy. I found both were very different backgrounds and opinions in guidance, which I appreciated. One having a very medical approach and the other a different more alternative approach. Having different opinions was very important to me, and hearing the science and information behind different options in choosing. I was transferred to OB care and induced at St Joes in both pregnancies, however, my pregnancy and post partum care was provided by the midwives and was amazing. With my first child we overcame some scary feeding and weight gain issues - the midwives visited nearly daily to assist. It was disappointing that COVID-19 restricted visits in my second post partum care, however, the midwives were still calling to check in, and on call at all times.

My husband and I cannot sing the praises of this team enough. We were lucky enough to have Arlaine( primary), Shannon and Mary, and Chelsea as part of our team. They were so knowledgeable, calming, supportive, and wonderful throughout the whole process. Our sons heart rate dropped briefly in labour and Arlaine with another midwife (marie-pierre) kept their calm allowing me to remain calm as well as they explained all the steps and reasons for decisions that were made. The home visits and willingness to give advice to a new mom struggling with breastfeeding has just been a dream. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and I can literally go on forever about how much I love this clinic. Also, Hannah (front desk) was spectacular. The ONLY negative is parking, but free street parking can be found and they're on a bunch of bus routes. That one small inconvenience is NOTHING compared to the care I have received.

I am so glad I was able to choose midwifery care. I have never felt so cared for, safe, and heard. The in home visits after my daughter's birth were critical for her health, and I felt supported every step of the way. Cannot recommend enough.

Used them a few years ago and they had all experienced Midwives who were amazing. Highly recommend this Midwifery. I tried another group with my next pregnancy and I regret not going back to this one and trying a new one. By far this one is very well run and has more experienced Midwives. :)
