Shannon Taylor is a Registered Midwife and a Naturopathic Doctor. She completed a BSc (Hons) in Biology from McMaster University in 1999 and graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2003. She has been a member of the Association of Perinatal Naturopathic Doctors since 2004. Her passion for women's health and wellness led Shannon to return to McMaster to study midwifery and she received her BHSc (Midwifery) in 2010. She has been a midwife with the Hamilton Midwives ever since. Shannon is a preceptor to midwifery students on their clinical placements and she is also a member of the Maternal Quality of Care Committee at St. Joseph's Healthcare. Outside of work she enjoys gardening, spending time with her family and giving back to the community by volunteering with animal rescue and adoption groups.
